Business Development Manager

Role Description

This role is responsible for the direct growth in revenue for consulting services of a region | territory, identifying sales leads, pitch services to prospects and maintain a good working relationship with new contacts. 

This position will be remote and very flexible, but candidate must be willing to travel 30-40% of the time within a specific territory | region, to meet with prospects, clients and with internal teams as needed.  The target region will be determined based on current location targeting any of these three Southern California geographic zones:  Los Angeles county, San Diego county and Orange County.



Responsibilities

  • Qualify leads and identify tangible opportunities that align with Avant Leap’s offerings.

  • Identify potential clients, and the decision makers within the client organization.

  • Set up meetings between client decision makers and company’s practice leaders/Principals Strategic cold call as appropriate within your market or geographic area to ensure a robust pipeline of opportunities

  • Following up on business opportunities

  • Work with the technical team to develop proposals

  • Work with our Services delivery team to ensure sales and consulting are aligned in the actual execution

  • Communicate new or revamped value offerings to prospective clients and enhance existing relationships

  • Use quantitative and qualitative techniques to collect useful information

  • Keeping up to date with industry developments | project projections from various sources including but not limited to ENR reports, Dodge reports, BID sources, among others.

  • Develop, manage and report revenue pipeline and provide management with progress status.  Diligently log activity in company’s CRM.

  • Participate in local industry or relevant networking events

  • Working with marketing around planning of relevant marketing initiatives

  • Identify opportunities for campaigns, services, and distribution channels that will lead to an increase in sales.



Requirements

  • Relevant experience in the building design, construction or operations space

  • Educational background - Relevant AECO bachelor’s degree or in relevant subject including economic and business studies.

  • Strong communication skills

  • Be a go-getter and require limited direction

  • Strong negotiation skills
