Privacy Policy — Traducco

1. What Traduco does
Traduco is a Revit add-in that extracts text from a Revit model, optionally sends that text to an AI provider for translation, and writes the translations back to the model. All processing is initiated explicitly by the user.
2. Data collected and stored locally
Traduco stores the following data on the user's machine only, in:

No data is transmitted to AvantLeap. AvantLeap does not operate any server that receives model text or translation data.
3. Data sent to third-party AI providers
When the user uses the Auto-Translate feature, Traduco sends text strings from the Revit model to the chosen AI provider's API:

What is sent: The source-language text strings (element names, parameter values, schedule headings, etc.) that were extracted from the model, plus a system prompt instructing the AI to translate them. No Revit file, no personal user data, and no Revit ElementIds are included in the AI request payload.
API keys: The user's API key is entered in a password-protected field in the Auto-Translate dialog, held in memory for the duration of the session, and never written to disk or included in log files. AvantLeap never receives or stores the user's API key.
The Auto-Translate step is entirely optional. The user can skip it and enter translations manually in the Review Mapping step with no data leaving the machine.
4. Licensing / entitlement check
Traduco performs a lightweight entitlement check against the Autodesk App Store API to verify a valid licence when the add-in loads. This check transmits:
- The Autodesk App Store application ID (a fixed, public identifier for Traduco)
- The Autodesk user account token managed by Revit
No Revit model content or translation data is included in this request. If the entitlement check fails or the network is unavailable, Traduco continues to operate (fail-open behaviour).
5. Data the add-in does NOT collect
- The add-in does not collect telemetry, usage statistics, or crash reports.
- The add-in does not transmit model geometry, BIM data, or any content other than text strings to AI providers.
- The add-in does not store API keys on disk or in any AvantLeap system.
- The add-in does not create accounts or user profiles.
6. Children's privacy
Traduco is a professional BIM tool intended for use by architecture, engineering, and construction professionals. It is not directed at children under 13.
7. Changes to this policy
AvantLeap may update this policy as Traduco evolves. Material changes will be noted in the product release notes. Continued use of Traduco after an update constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
