Quota — Privacy Policy

Summary

Quota does not collect, transmit, store, or share any personal data. All processing runs locally inside Autodesk Revit on your machine. There is no telemetry, no analytics, no cloud connection, and no account required.

1. Information we collect

We collect no information.

Quota operates entirely within the Autodesk Revit process on your local machine. It reads element geometry from the currently open Revit document and writes dimension objects back into that same document. No data leaves your machine at any point.

Specifically, Quota does not collect:

  • Personal identifiers (name, email, Autodesk ID, IP address)
  • Usage data or analytics (which commands you run, how often, on which views)
  • Model data (geometry, parameters, filenames, project names)
  • Device identifiers (machine name, OS version, hardware fingerprint)
  • Crash reports or error logs transmitted externally

2. Local logging

Quota may write diagnostic messages to a local log file stored on your machine at:

%APPDATA%\AvantLeap\Logs\Quota\

This file is written only to your local disk and is never transmitted to AvantLeap or any third party. It exists solely to help you diagnose issues. You can delete it at any time.

3. Data storage

Quota stores no data outside of the Revit document you are working in. When Quota places a dimension, it writes an ExtensibleStorage tag onto that dimension object inside the Revit model file (.rvt). This tag is part of the Revit file and remains under your full control. Quota uses this tag only to identify its own dimensions when you run Clear Quota Dims.

4. Third-party services

Quota uses no third-party services, SDKs, APIs, or cloud platforms. It has no network dependencies.

5. Children's privacy

Quota is a professional software tool for use by adults in AEC (Architecture, Engineering, and Construction) workflows. It is not directed at children, and because it collects no data, no special provisions for children's data are required.

6. Changes to this policy

If future versions of Quota introduce any form of data collection, this policy will be updated before that version is released, and users will be notified via the App Store update notes. The current version (1.0.0) collects no data.

8. Autodesk App Store
