Portare — Privacy Policy

Overview

AvantLeap ("we," "our," or "the Publisher") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy describes what data Portare ("the Software") collects, how it is used, and your rights regarding that data.

Data We Collect

Data the Software Does NOT Collect

Portare does not collect, store, or transmit:

  • Personal identifying information (name, email address, IP address)
  • Revit project content, BIM model data, or element geometry
  • File paths or file names of your Revit projects
  • Usage statistics, analytics, or telemetry
  • Error logs sent to external servers

Data the Software DOES Access

Portare accesses the following data locally on your machine:

  • Revit model element data — element parameters, type names, geometry, and location data from the active Revit document. This data is read and written to .portare files on your local file system. It is never transmitted to AvantLeap servers or any third party.
  • Autodesk App Store entitlement — when license validation is active, the Software calls the Autodesk App Store entitlement API to verify that your Autodesk account has a valid license for Portare. This call is made by the Autodesk SDK and is subject to Autodesk's own Privacy Policy at https://www.autodesk.com/company/legal-notices-trademarks/privacy-statement. No project data is included in this call.

How Data is Used

All data accessed by Portare is used exclusively to provide the core functionality of the add-in:

  • Reading element data from the source Revit model to produce .portare files
  • Writing element data to the target Revit model during injection
  • Verifying license entitlement via the Autodesk App Store API

No data is used for marketing, analytics, advertising, or shared with third parties.

File Storage

.portare files and .portare-result files produced by the Software are stored only where you choose to save them on your local file system or network drive. AvantLeap has no access to these files.

Third-Party Services

Autodesk App Store Entitlement API

License validation is performed via the Autodesk App Store entitlement service. This service is provided and operated by Autodesk, Inc. Autodesk's Privacy Policy applies: https://www.autodesk.com/company/legal-notices-trademarks/privacy-statement.

No Revit project data is transmitted as part of this entitlement check.

Children's Privacy

Portare is a professional software tool intended for use by AEC industry professionals. It is not directed at children under the age of 13 and does not knowingly collect data from minors.

Changes to This Policy

AvantLeap may update this Privacy Policy as the Software evolves. Changes will be reflected in future release notes and at the policy URL above. Continued use of the Software after a policy update constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.

Your Rights
