Privacy policy — Mostra
1. Introduction
This privacy policy describes how AvantLeap handles data in connection with the Mostra Revit add-in. AvantLeap is a software company that develops tools for the architecture, engineering, and construction industry. Mostra is an Autodesk® Revit® add-in that groups model elements by shared parameter values and applies color-coded visualization through isolated views, parametric filters, or graphics overrides. This policy applies to all versions of Mostra from version 1.0.0 onwards.
2. Who is the data controller
AvantLeap is the data controller for any personal data processed in connection with the Mostra add-in.

3. What data the add-in processes
3a. Data stored locally on your machine
Mostra stores visualization presets in a JSON file on the user's local machine. The default location is:

Each preset record contains the following fields:

Preset data is stored only on the machine where Mostra is installed. Presets are not transmitted to AvantLeap or to any third party and are not embedded in the Revit model.
3b. Data transmitted externally
Mostra does not transmit any data to external servers. There are no network calls, cloud service connections, or data uploads in this version of the add-in.
3c. Data not collected
Mostra does not collect any of the following:
- Name, email address, or Autodesk account credentials
- Autodesk Login User ID or subscription information
- Analytics, telemetry, or usage statistics
- Crash reports or error logs sent to AvantLeap
- IP addresses or location data
- Cookies or browser tracking data
- Revit model content, element geometry, or parameter values
4. Legal basis for processing

Because Mostra stores no data externally and requires no authentication, no other processing activities apply.
5. Data storage and security
All preset data is stored locally on the user's machine in the %APPDATA%\AvantLeap\Mostra\ directory. AvantLeap has no access to this data. The security of local files is the responsibility of the operating system and the organization's endpoint security policies. Mostra does not encrypt the preset file because it contains no personal or sensitive information.
6. Data sharing
AvantLeap does not share any data collected through Mostra with third parties. Mostra makes no external network calls in this version. There are no sub-processors, analytics services, or advertising partners involved in the operation of this add-in.
7. Data retention
Preset data persists on the user's machine until one of the following occurs:
- The user deletes individual presets from within the MOSTRA PRO interface.
- The user manually deletes the
%APPDATA%\AvantLeap\Mostra\presets.jsonfile. - The user uninstalls Mostra and removes the AppData folder. The uninstaller removes the installed binaries; the
%APPDATA%\AvantLeap\Mostra\folder must be deleted manually if the user wishes to remove all traces of the add-in.
AvantLeap retains no copies of any user data because no data is transmitted to AvantLeap.
8. Your rights under GDPR
The following rights apply to individuals in the European Economic Area and the United Kingdom. Because Mostra stores all data locally on your own machine, most rights are exercised directly by the user without involving AvantLeap.

9. International data transfers
Mostra does not transfer any data outside the user's machine. No international data transfers occur.
10. Children's privacy
Mostra is a professional software tool intended for users aged 16 and above. AvantLeap does not knowingly collect data from children under the age of 16. If you believe a minor has inadvertently stored personal information through the add-in, contact support@avantleap.com and we will provide guidance on removing it locally.
11. Changes to this policy
AvantLeap may update this privacy policy when the add-in is updated with new functionality that changes how data is processed. The updated policy will be published at the URL listed at the top of this document. Continued use of Mostra after a policy update constitutes acceptance of the revised terms. Material changes will be communicated through the add-in release notes.
