Director of Asset Management - Global Strategy

Role Description
This role is responsible for directing and overseeing all asset management projects and initiatives at Avant Leap as well as build and lead an internal asset management team. Working with key stakeholders to identify strategies for owner related projects involving the integration of BIM with CMMS/EAMS, defining and establishing BIM for owner requirements, develop an IoT strategy for predictive | prescriptive maintenance, Develop Day 1 operational readiness plans, Information management strategies, among others. This role will play a key part in Avant Leap’s pursuit to simplify complex processes in the way buildings are operated and maintained pushing for innovation in areas such as Automation, Machine learning, Artificial Intelligence and cognitive systems, from a smart buildings to a smart cities.
This position will be remote, but candidate must be willing to travel 25-40% of the time to prospect and client meetings, project kick-offs, and internal meetings as needed. Some international travel might be required.
Responsibilities
Develop Global strategy for consulting for Owners including Asset Management, Facilities and Maintenance and Operations for Avant Leap.
Identify and Create solutions package offerings, Determine costs and rates, define target revenue by region / industry, etc.
Build the asset management team to eventually delegate some of the responsibilities listed below
Define and create required consulting roles for the Asset management team
Establish role requirements and responsibilities
Interview and hire candidates
Assist in the development of strategic documentation required by projects including but not limited to:
BIM Specifications, Data dictionaries, BIM for FM standards, etc
ROI Metrics, KPIS, etc
Develop presentations for prospects and clients
Assist with scoping and building proposals for prospects and clients
Develop and manage internal and/or external resources (subs) for engagements
Be willing to constantly learn and expand knowledge around new technologies in areas including but not limited to Data mining, Automation, AI, ML, among others.
Research and Explore vendor relationships for potential partnerships and collaboration to expand on Avant Leap’s capabilities and offerings, including but not limited to areas such:
Augmented Reality, IoT, Artificial Intelligence, Robotics, etc
Work with Avant Leap’s Software group to identify industry challenges and potential solution concepts for its IP and proprietary technology development efforts
Work with the marketing team to develop supporting material
Participate in industry events such as speaking engagements in the US and abroad
Requirements
Relevant experience in the Asset Management and Facilities Maintenance space
Hands on experience with one or more EAMS or CMMS systems such as IBM Maximo, Archibus, eMaint, etc
Experience with COBIE or related BIM for FM requirements
Experience with Building information modeling integration with an EAM or CMMS
Deep understanding of the benefits of lifecycle BIM for Facility and Asset Management
Deep understanding of the applications of Artificial Intelligence and Machine learning in Building operations
Educational background - Relevant AECO bachelor’s degree minimum
Strong communication skills
Be a go-getter and require limited direction
Have or build a strong business development mindset
Must have strong work ethic and high degree of credibility
Minimum of 10 years in the AECO space and at least 5 years of those in a facilities or Asset management or Operations related role
Nice to have
Relevant knowledge of BIG data and analytics for Operations and Maintenance
Relevant knowledge of Machine learning processes
Relevant knowledge of AI platforms such as IBM Watson
Masters or PHD in applicable areas such as construction and asset management
