KPRS Construction needed accurate as built documentation for 588 Atlas Avenue before the architect could begin tenant improvement design, with less than six months from kickoff to tenant move in. Avant Leap deployed a Leica RTC360 laser scanner across the 86,000 SF office building and ran a parallel delivery strategy, handing off point cloud data and incremental Revit models as they were completed rather than waiting for full completion.

Scan to BIM Solution Services for KPRS Construction
Challenge
The architect could not start tenant improvement design without accurate as built documentation, and the as built model needed to cover architecture, structure, and MEP within a compressed four week window.
Solution
Avant Leap ran a Leica RTC360 scanning campaign of roughly 200 scan setups in a 48 hour field operation, then built out the as built Revit model discipline by discipline using Autodesk ReCap and Revit, delivering incrementally so design work could start early.
Result
The point cloud was live within a week of scanning and the complete Revit model and 2D documentation were in the architect's hands within 3 weeks, enabling the aggressive tenant improvement schedule and letting the contractor's constructability review run in parallel with design.
